Challenge
Mountain has helped thousands of special needs clients realize their potential. They have come from across the world to participate in our unique programs.
The above motto has proven to be true. Families and loved ones can attest to
the "miracles" that have happened through what we do.
Challenge Mountain provides it's own operational support by owning and operating
two resale stores. 100% of all donated dollars go directly to program support.
All of our services are free of charge to our clients and their families. Our re-sale
stores continue to be our main funding source. Due to generous donations of items
and time of our volunteers, we are able to purchase the adaptive equipment that makes it possible.
Our client's needs vary greatly. We have learned to adapt to each special situation in the least restrictive manner possible and provide a foundation for years of growth and recreation, allowing enjoyment of our valued Northern Michigan natural resources.
Our happiest times are when we can help families enjoy those resources together without our assistance. To us, that is what Challenge Mountain is all about!
While we feel our accomplishments are great, realistically we know our needs are
great as well. Please consider a gift of your time, in our stores, at our ski resort, and for special events like water sports and summer activities. When
we talk about the
lives
we have changed, it is not just our clients with such an experience. Talk to one
of our many volunteers, they have been rewarded as well.
